Dr. Amelia works with many professionals to make sure her clients get the best care possible and their whole system is brought back into balance. Sometimes healing does take a village, and the right one is different for each person! She works only with physicians that practice integrative medicine, who incorporate the best of traditional Western allopathic medicine and complementary alternative medicine. These are doctors who have asked the same questions that doctor Amelia did about healing and chose to educate themselves to come up with more effective ways of treating their patients. They also work to get at the root cause of what is causing illness or emotional disturbance and symptoms in their clients live Dr. Amelia, so patients experience a more profound and complete healing process. .Holistic Psychology does not mean "all natural", it means healing the whole person and integrative means, using many tools together to bring wholeness. She may make referrals to healing centers for detoxing, acupuncturists, massage therapists, or energy healers. She refers people to community resources and spiritual communities that are appropriate and congruent with client's belief systems. She gives referrals for workshops, yoga, exercise, personal trainers, nutritional consultants, reading and self exploration. She expects her clients to take an active role and full responsibility for their evolution. Dr. Amelia has sought out the most effective therapeutic approaches to facilitate the most effective therapy process for her clients. She will do traditional psychotherapy, The Enneagram, journey work/inner path work to facilitate cellular healing, The Work of Byron Katie to facilitate cognitive therapy, Total Biology to uncover memorized cellular memory patterns and the biological/emotional cause of disorders/disease, quantum biofeedback, spiritual inquiry, relaxation, meditation and sometimes good old common sense.
